Dr. Joseph Yang grew up in a suburb of Chicago, IL. He earned his B.S. at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Subsequently, he received his D.D.S. from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Upon graduating, he began his 25-year career as a U.S. Naval Dental Officer. During his Navy career, Dr. Yang was chosen for full-time out-service residency in Periodontology at Univ. of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Afterward, he was selected to serve on staff/program director at Bethesda Naval Medical Center for their Periodontology residency program. During his long Navy career, he received numerous personal commendations and awards. He is a diplomate of American Board of Periodontology as well as a member of American Dental Association and American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Yang is frequently invited to lecture and train other dental professionals worldwide in the latest implant and periodontic procedures. His hobbies are golfing, skiing, and keeping up with his favorite sports teams.
